The Townhouse hotel is very well located, which makes moving around town quite easy. I really liked the room, it was beautifully decorated, very comfy and also a broad variety of channels. So if you are Cape Town please do stay at the Townhouse Hotel, you will not be disappointed.

excellent staff, beautiful and very clean rooms
I really enjoyed this classy hotel situated in downtown Cape Town. Great location and very stylish and clean. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The breakfasts were delicious with a great selection of foods, and the restaurant (Trees) was also very good.

a hidden retreat
We accidentally mixed up our dates in Cape Town and so unexpectedly found ourselves in this small hotel in the central city area. The location is really convenient, being within walking distance of all the places most tourist want to visit, including the Company Gardens, Greenmarket Square and Adderley Street. Because we had travelled for almost 19 hours we decided to eat in the hotel dining room and it was a great decision since we had one of our best meals of the trip there. The décor was not in keeping with most bland hotel dining rooms, the staff were really nice and helpful and the food was unbelievably good, with excellent pricing. When we checked in we mentioned we were on honeymoon despite our apparent age, and the hotel sent up a bottle of bubbles for us, which was totally unexpected but most appreciated. Breakfast was excellent and we were greeted with bright smiles wherever we were in the hotel. Our room had a double aspect (corner room) so we had a beautiful view of Table Mountain as well as a city view. I would thoroughly recommend The Townhouse for a stay, it offers a lot and is very good value.

A very pleasant stay in a most functional room. Good location to explore the city. Breakfast was delicious and the most varied of all my breakfasts whilst on 2 week holiday in South Africa.

luxury on a budget
Located almost opposite the parliament in the city bowl, this is a great hotel. Within 5 minutes walk you are in streets with markets, coffee shops and everything a tourist could want. Many people might be tempted to stay nearer the V&A waterfront, but we found this over-run with tourists and the mall there to be upmarket but so bland you could be anywhere in the world. The city bowl we found to be very safe – there are officers on every corner and much more authentic. The hotel rooms were good and the buffet breakfast very generous. The staff were helpful and you can park in the multi story car park next store very securely.
