marine week seafood special | 9 to 15 October

Trees Restaurant will be offering a seafood special for Marine Week, which will run from 9 – 15 October. We’re always told we should be eating fish twice a week – they are a lean, healthy source of protein that also delivers omega oils missing from our diets. Seafood is also delicious! But where can a devoted pescetarian find an ethically curated choice of divine dishes from the deep? How about in the city centre of Cape Town?

This a la carte dinner menu, using only SASSI green-listed seafood, will be available to guests for dinner from 19h00 to 21h00.

The seafood special is in line with Trees’ continued sustainability efforts – with a daily menu that features farmed fish, sustainable ‘catch of the day’ dishes and local fish. Says Trees Restaurant’s Executive Chef, Stefan Schmidt, “We are excited to share our Marine Week menu with Trees’ guests. It showcases the hotel’s commitment to sustainable practices and our efforts to highlight our fragile marine and coastal environments.  There are delicious seafood options – like mussels and calamari – available on the SASSI green list, and we want to show our guests that it is possible to enjoy a wonderful meal, without negatively impacting our oceans.”
